Around the world, 2016 was the warmest spring ever recorded, with an average March – May temperature, across global land and ocean surfaces, of 1.91 degrees Fahrenheit above the 20th century average of 56.7 degrees Fahrenheit.

Not only was this spring the warmest every recorded, May 2016 marked the 13th consecutive month with record warm global temperatures.
